چکیده

Borax which is an important boron compound, a mineral, and salt of boric acid, used as fire retardant insulating material. The most reac-tion in automobile brake systems heat generation from friction. gen-erated at the interface disc lining may cause deformation materials forming lining. Therefore, phenomena such wear fade be occurred. aim this study to reveal positive effects borax additive on experimentally examine effect grain size tribological properties. Lining produced by mixing more than one powder pressing cold hot. homogeneous mixture pow-der affect braking performance. In study, using nano micro sized with same content performance was investigated. linings were tested pin-on tester. Wear, hard-ness density tests performed. change friction coefficient observed due temperature increase. nano-containing showed stable result depending temperature.
